As a working principal with daily project responsibilities, Phil applies the proven experience of a thirty year career to the successful realization of his projects.
This experience, coupled with strong leadership and open communication skills, provides Phil the means to guide the design process towards exceeding the client's goals. Phil's primary role is that of project facilitator and design leader. He works closely with clients to establish project goals and objectives and throughout the process he advocates for project success.
He is very effective working with large client groups and assists in sorting priorities and incorporating various agendas in a creative and thorough manner. With dual degrees in design and engineering, Phil has a unique ability to understand and integrate the work of supporting engineering disciplines in his projects.
Phil's interests outside architecture include travel, painting, and the environment. He is an avid backpacker, naturalist, and sea kayaker who doesn't get enough opportunity to retreat to his cabin in the Olympic National Park.
